Endowment funding that moves the world forward

One of Duke’s differentiators is its ability to tackle challenges, big and small, local and worldwide. Donors like you have supported funding for projects such as DukeEngage, which allows students at Duke to provide meaningful assistance to communities in the U.S. and abroad.

For many participants of DukeEngage, addressing critical human needs through immersive service is the most transformative part of their college experience.

For Connor Guest ’17 and Adam Kershner, undergraduate students who were part of Duke Engineers for International Development, the ability to serve was the opportunity of a lifetime. Guest and Kershner were able to take the civic ethos at Duke and combine it with their passions and talents to build a suspension bridge over a stream for a small village in Rwanda.

See how these students leave an impact that is reciprocal, felt both at Duke and abroad.
